SPRING FLING 2007

Springbrook Glen will be hosting a Spring Fling Saturday, April 21st, 11:00AM to 2 PM

We want to provide residents who operate a business or organization an opportunity to share their inforamtion with other residents. If interested, please contact me. There is no cost involved just your time.

We would like to hear from you by March 2nd if you want to participate.

I set up this yahoo group so we can brainstorm our ideas/update each other with our progress between meetings. I set up the group for those of us who attended the last meeting, but anyone involved is welcome to join. You can choose how you receive messages. This group is so small (um, 2 people right now! :oops: ) that I like to get any group messages that might be posted by email.

Additionally, after this event ends, we can continue to use the Yahoo group for the planning of future events. Sound good? Ok! Go sign up!

Springbrook Glen HOA presents Spring Fling 2007

Here is some preliminary information on what we are planning to do for this event.

Registration:

 Neighbor sign-in. Meet board and welcoming committee representatives.
 Clipboards will be available with committee descriptions and committee sign-up.
 Congregation area for police and fire department personnel presenting various information including “Stranger Danger”, “Good touch, Bad touch”, Child ID (fingerprinting), etc.

Landscaping Q&A and plant displays:

 Lowe’s will provide an employee (who is also a master gardener) to answer questions and display plants on the Pflugerville Drop by Drop list. The plants will be given out as door prizes throughout the event.
 At 12:15p, there will be a 45min talk given by Amy Cunningham, Travis County master gardener. Topic - Building healthy soil with special recommendations for Pflugerville.
 Various pamphlets and info available.
 At 1pm, there will be a closing tree planting ceremony.

For the Kid’s:

 At 11:15, there will be a 45 min. Kindermusik demonstration by Sarah Nguyen (SBG HOA member) for families.
 Coloring sheets with take-home crayons.
 Possibly building kits or activities provided by Home Depot.
 2 bouncers (moonwalks) from 11a-2p.

Food and Drinks:

Throughout the entire event, hot dogs and chips will be served. Water will also be available.

General information: Set up will begin at 9:30am. We have 4 tents, 9 tables, 42 chairs and 3 BBQ grills. These include those owned by the HOA and some being borrowed by various neighbors.

Presently, we have 11 neighbors who have volunteered to help in various areas. More volunteers would be greatly appreciated. Please post here or send an email if you can help out.
